Supporting Documents Required (Do not send originals, each photocopy must be certified*)

For Australian Citizen applicants born in Australia: an original or certified copy* of an Australian Passport or an original or certified copy of the Birth Certificate or Extract of Birth

For Australian Citizen applicants not born in Australia: an original or certified copy of an Australian Passport or an original or certified copy of the Australian Citizenship Certificate

For Non Australian Citizen residents: the original or certified copy of their Permanent Resident Visa (Australia Resident visa), or for Special Category Visa holders (eg. New Zealand citizens), the original or certified copy of their Passport

The following documentation is required to be submitted in respect of the purchase or construction of the home.

Established Home - A copy of the signed Contract for Sale and Purchase

Contract to have a home built - A copy of the signed Contract to Build and proof of first progress payment

Owner Builder - Evidence of commencement date, cost and evidence that the home is ready for occupation

* Certified Copies - A copy of an original that has been sighted by an authorised person and who has noted on the copy that is a true copy of the original which has been produced and shown to the person certifying. An authorised person includes: A member of the police force, a councilor of a municipality, a medical practitioner, a dentist, a veterinary practitioner, a pharmacist, a minister of religion, a legal practitioner, a school principal or an accountant.
